Jim is currently an intern at Turning Point Counseling, completing his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights. He is expected to graduate in May of 2024 and receive his license to continue practicing as a professional counselor. His background is in Christian studies and religion, but has since pivoted a focus into the mental health field after seeing the rising need for this type of care across all populations. Now more than ever, Jim understands that everyone needs somebody to talk to about whatever is important to them.

Jim Bowlds is a compassionate professional counselor, dedicated to providing mental health support to individuals who are wanting to heal, seek growth, or simply have someone to talk to. Jim brings a unique perspective into counseling sessions and focuses on building a trusting relationship with each and every person he sits with. 

Jim utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with clients that intertwines with a Humanistic approach so that clients can begin to understand themselves better in a safe and judgment free space.
