Amanda graduated from Trinity Christian College with her Bachelors in Social Work in 2014 and then went on to complete her Master's degree in Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2019.

Amanda has worked within the mental health field for the past 9 years starting as a mental health counselor in the inpatient psychiatric hospital setting. In addition to being a mental health counselor, Amanda has spent the past 4 years working as psychiatric consult liaison on the medical units at Advocate Christ Medical Center. Currently, she continues her work at Advocate doing crisis stabilization work in the emergency department as well as counseling at Turning Point Counseling.

Amanda specializes in working with adults with mood and anxiety disorders and utilizes Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy approaches as well as bringing in a strengths-based perspective.
