Sandy graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and began her teaching career in 1983. Sandy then returned to Northern Illinois University in 2000 to work on a counseling degree. She graduated in 2002 with a Master's Degree in Counseling.
In addition to private counseling, Sandy worked as a school counselor in DuPage County counseling visually impaired students from pre-school to high school. Prior to that, Sandy counseled students for 9 years at Liberty Junior High in New Lenox and taught as an adjunct professor for National Lewis University’s Educational Psychology department in Lisle, IL. In 2014, Sandy began working full time as a private practice counselor, and in 2017 began expanding Turning Point Counseling to a group practice.

In the past 9 years Adam has obtained an MBA with a concentration in Leadership. He has been certified in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) as both a Practitioner (NLP Institute of Chicago) and as a Master Practitioner (NLP University - Santa Cruz, CA). He has worked with a co-founder of NLP (David Gordon) on Modeling - The Structure of Experience.
In his experiences, Adam has learned directly from the co-founders of NLP on people's Identity and the how Belief Systems are incorporated. While studying, Adam learned how beliefs form, how they affect each individual, and most importantly how they can determine our destinies through choices. Beliefs are extremely powerful as they create people's experience. The belief system, while powerful is also weakening.
When you work with Adam, you will learn one of the hardest things you can do in life along with one of the easiest things you can do in life. First, you must learn your Identity, and then you will learn techniques that will help you realize who you truly are.

Amanda graduated from Trinity Christian College with her Bachelors in Social Work in 2014 and then went on to complete her Master's degree in Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2019.
Amanda has worked within the mental health field for the past 9 years starting as a mental health counselor in the inpatient psychiatric hospital setting. In addition to being a mental health counselor, Amanda has spent the past 4 years working as psychiatric consult liaison on the medical units at Advocate Christ Medical Center. Currently, she continues her work at Advocate doing crisis stabilization work in the emergency department as well as counseling at Turning Point Counseling.
Amanda specializes in working with adults with mood and anxiety disorders and utilizes Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy approaches as well as bringing in a strengths-based perspective.
